So here we are again, with the 5th instalment of my 52 part series.
It was a really hectic week at work, dominated by a friend and colleague who is very unwell at the moment. I spent a fun weekend at Jezz's, climbing, Xboxing and generally over-indulging. I'm never going to get rid of the 5lbs I put on over Xmas with behaviour like that, even when I'm climbing 2 or 3 times a week!
On with the show...
Weekly Summary
Busy walking the walk...tiring yet rewarding!
Weekly Thanks and Praise
Aaron aka Portvinder - thanks for being such a good friend to Matt, supporting him in his hour of need...letting your conscience be your guide is admirable! Thanks for being one of the good guys.
Weekly Present
Recently, my good friend Jezz has been afflicted with the climbing equivalent of golf's "the yips". When we climbed at the weekend, I tried to be as supportive and encouraging as possible. I wanted to give him the gift of a supportive and positive opportunity to start to get his leading head back on. I'm not sure how much it helped, but he did manage to lead a number of challenging routes, and looked comfortable doing it. Not that it's any great sacrifice for me - it's how I tend to approach things anyway, and going climbing is always brilliant fun anyway! Win-win! :-)

Week 4 - Days of Grey
So here we are again, with the 4th instalment of my 52 part series.
It was another fairly quiet week for me, completely dominated by a stinking cold I've had all week. Have done nothing else of note...yay me!
On with the show...
Weekly Summary
Where did all this snot come from?!
Weekly Thanks and Praise
Jools - for having made such a lot of his life, for having such a big, open heart, for looking after the whole family, and just for being my brother!
Weekly Present
I haven't been out at all this week, but I did order Anna a book. The book was The Art of Racing in the Rain, by Garth Stein. It's written from the perspective of a dog, and is supposed to be very comforting for those who have to euthanise a dog. Of course, being such a brain dead idiot, I inadvertently bought Racing in the Rain, which is an adaptation for young people, instead.
Doh!!
So I've gotta fix that...but anyway, thanks babe, I hope it helps...xx

Week 3 - 2014!
So here we are again, with the 3rd instalment of my 52 part series.
It was a fairly quiet week, although we climbed (indoors, using ropes) 3 times! We're trying to get into shape again before a sport climbing trip to the Costa Blanca in March.
On with the show...
Weekly Summary
New Year - 60 routes in 5 days!
Weekly Thanks and Praise
Jezz - thanks for being a good mate all these years, and praise and kudos for achieving such success in various endeavours, through hard work and determination.
Weekly Present
Christina has long been a good friend of Anna, and by extension has become a good friend of mine. Christina helped Anna to prepare for my party in December, so I bought her some chocs, and put a couple of seasons of Boston Legal (which she's going to love) onto a memory stick for her. Thanks, 'Stina! x
